The required amount mandated for expenditure by ITC Limited in the fiscal year, in accordance with Section 135 and Section 198 of the Companies Act, 2013, was Rs. 362.56 Crores (compared to Rs. 357.17 Crores in 2021). This sum constitutes 2% of the Company's average Net Profit, totaling Rs. 363.19 Crores, after deducting the excess CSR spend of Rs. 0.63 Crore from FY 2020-21.

This comprised Rs. 15.92 Crores towards employee benefits (compared to Rs. 14.96 Crores in 2021) and Rs. 347.45 Crores as other expenses (compared to Rs. 342.84 Crores in 2021). As of March 31, 2022, an amount of Rs. 26.01 Crores (compared to Rs. 11.94 Crores in 2021) has been accrued for payment. Within this sum, Rs. 3.90 Crores, part of the ongoing project from FY 2021-22, was deposited in the Unspent CSR Account in April 2022.

The average net profits of the Company, as outlined in Section 135(5), amounted to Rs. 17,744.39 crores. This substantial financial standing underscores ITC's substantial commitment to its CSR obligations, reflecting its steadfast efforts to create a meaningful impact on society while maintaining robust financial performance.
